01The Brief
A principal bedroom and study to be reworked as one suite: a place to sleep, read and work, built around a large painted mural and a collection of books and objects.
Services: Turnkey Projects
02The Design Response
The mural sets the palette for everything else: the blue of the channel-tufted velvet bed, the yellow of the patterned rug. Exposed brick and dark timber give the colour a warm, quiet ground.
Open shelving turns books and objects into part of the architecture, and the study is given its own presence with a sculpted desk and a single yellow chair.
