01The Brief
A bright lounge whose architecture already worked. What it needed was character: a centrepiece, pieces with presence, and art that would hold the walls.

02The Design Response
With the structure kept as it was, the change came entirely from what went into the room. The carved Raka light gives the ceiling its centrepiece, and the contour rug draws the seating together beneath it.
Houndstooth armchairs, black marble tables and white coral add texture against the pale walls, while a textured monochrome work and a still life in oils hold the two long sides of the room.
